I repaired the transmitter cable for my bass, but didn’t practice yesterday. I’m still dealing with a lot of pain and didn’t want to exacerbate my back – it’s still too jacked up from the past weekend. This is extra-frustrating because I always return from shows with a rush and desire to play, but my health issues are currently preventing me. At least the transmitter is fixed and ready to play as soon as my spine is.
I also decided to make the tsukemono pickles this weekend so I didn’t peel the garlic yet either.
My body and sleep cycle has been off since the trip and I’ve been trying to get that back on track. Part of that, I believe, is the amount of caffeine I consumed, along with the hours we kept. I have been going to bed earlier than usual, but haven’t been able to fall asleep properly. Last night I was in bed by 11, but still couldn’t fall asleep until nearly 2AM. I might need to set an early alarm to do a “body-clock reset” if it doesn’t straighten out soon.
Hopefully, things will be back to normal soon. I’m tired today, and have a later night planned tonight, but if I force myself up early on Saturday, I might get the reset I need.
I don’t have a lot going on today, but I’m still hurting and recovering from the trip, so I think it’s going to be a pretty chill day. Maybe I’ll get some seated bass practice in…
