We did go to the city yesterday and didn’t get back until late, so I didn’t have time to write. This is a hectic week – birthday tomorrow (another run to the city for dinner), Jeep repair on Thursday, and travel to somewhere (as yet undetermined, maybe Yellowstone?) on Friday for the weekend.
We still haven’t decided where we are going to go. Originally we were planning to go back to the sapphire mine, but the logistics were too much. Yellowstone is on the table, as are a couple Jeep trails. Part of me wants to just pack a bag and start driving, playing things by ear and going with the flow – though I’m not sure my wife would enjoy that much. She tends to like detailed timelines and itineraries rather than ninja road trips.
I chatted with an old friend today. We reconnected a few weeks ago and have been messaging back and forth a bit since then. The topic was more detailed today so it was just easier to call and chat. We caught each other up on our lives today, and chatted about “the old days” gaming together. It was a nice conversation and I hope we stay in better contact moving forward.
I still need to catch up on email – I should have some time on Thursday while I’m waiting for my Jeep repair.
It is my birthday tomorrow, so I doubt I’m going to post anything, but who knows.
