I am in a foul mood today. The day started off pretty normally, but my wife and I ended up having an argument over a joking comment.
…..and with that I just deleted several paragraphs.
While the writing was cathartic and helpful to me, individually, it wouldn’t be helpful to the situation to blast everything out to the world. But to summarize my conclusion:
Bitches be crazy.
No, I kid… and frankly the irreverent, joking nature of mine is part of what precipitated the argument in the first place, that was compounded with a timing based, hormonal factor, I had not previously considered. But what I concluded was that no matter what happens, or how long you’ve known someone – people change. And I don’t mean that in the sense that I suddenly expect my wife to start liking different music or foods, but that on a day to day basis, the personal calculus of mood, energy levels, sleep (or lack of), etc., the same person can react differently to the same stimuli.
To summarize the summary: People will react differently to things based on what’s going on in their lives (internally and externally) at a given moment, and it is up to us to pay attention and identify these things when confronted with an unexpected reaction or when reacting oneself.
