Whatever will bewilder me…

Happy Lateralus Day for those who celebrate – it has been 25 years since the release of TOOL‘s Lateralus album.

It is windy again today, but nothing like yesterday – if it calms down a bit more, I’ll move the plants out into the uncovered area for more direct sun. My shelf (outdoor shelf, not the one we’re having built for our front windows) arrived the other day and I still need to get that set up, so I’ll probably work on that today and monitor the wind. If I’m able to move everything out of the covered portion of the deck, I will have the space necessary to repot a couple more plants that have been needing it.

Since my daughter’s donor and surgery has been confirmed and my grandson’s stay scheduled, we have been assessing what we need to do around here to prepare, and there is a lot. There are the stacks of boxes and other things we need to move to our conex, as well as take other “child-safe” precautions. I should get locks to put on a couple closets as well. We should probably also buy our chest freezer before his arrival so we have more space for food storage, as our current freezer is already stuffed to the point we had to remove the ice bin.

The plumbers will be here Tuesday to add our outside faucets and fix the leaky one, so I need to rearrange my office to make space for them to work (access to the leaking faucet is through the drop ceiling in my office) and to move my computers, mixer, and instruments so if something catastrophic happens, I won’t have to worry about any of it getting water damaged. In retrospect, this would have been the perfect time for me to get my new desk.

I just checked Office depot and they no longer carry the desk I previously had and loved, but abandoned in Idaho – but Amazon still has them available, and allegedly it should arrive by next Tuesday so I can tear down my electronics from my old desk for the plumber, and set everything back up on my new one.

Anyhow, I just got a call from the Amish contractor and he’s going to be here to morrow to finish up things, so I need to assemble that shelf and get some things moved…
