Yesterday’s contractor had to reschedule so now we have two coming out today. (In fact, one just texted me to confirm our appointment time.) I’m looking forward to finding “the one” that we can utilize for all our projects, and really want this whole mess to be behind us and move on to other things. I’m really looking forward to getting that plant shelving built.
Roscoe has been acting out – I think it’s because of the kitten. Yesterday he kept getting on the countertop while I kept dragging him off, and he ended up spraying the wall while staring me down. I scruffed him and tossed him unceremoniously from the bathroom, leading him to sulk the rest of the day. I suspect that since the kitten is getting bigger and stronger, and is now better able to assert herself and resist him, that he is feeling like his position in the hierarchy is being challenged. I’ll leave it to the cats to sort out their own business, but he needs to know that the humans are at the top of the ladder around here. He was pretty apologetic last night and today, but we aren’t going to let him get away with that sort of nonsense.
One thing I haven’t done since returning from our trip is paint again. I had fully intended to keep up with that, but I just haven’t had the desire or motivation to do so. I think part of it is that it is still cold out and most of my “vision” includes sitting outside and painting. That said, I really should still do some inside – even if just to practice getting the stroke shapes perfect. This needs to be a new habit I form, in addition to more musical practice.
Anyhow, things to do…
