Day four of being unsupervised and I think I’m starting to go feral. I was up normally today, but stayed up much later than usual last night. It seems my wife’s, “are you ready for lights out?” is another cue of mine. I ended up reading until about 3:30 AM. I’m dragging a bit today, but hopefully that means I’ll be able to fall asleep easier tonight… as long as I don’t get caught up reading again.
I was fairly productive yesterday, and got two out of three raised beds cleared – I’ll be working on the last one after I finish writing today. I also picked all the bottle gourds and luffa. It was a bit disappointing that I didn’t get many luffa (and that I had to cut a bunch of the female flowers off) but I’m going to try to get them in the ground a bit earlier next season. I did get several bottle gourd, but most are a bit young still – hopefully they will still dry and hollow out.
I also need to make a run to town. I guess I don’t really need to, but I woke with an insane craving for chicken parm. I don’t want to go through the hassle of making it right now, so I think I’m going to get a frozen option. If the craving persists, I’ll make it after my wife returns.
Anyhow, my stomach is grumbling – I guess that means it’s time to eat…
