I managed to knock out another project yesterday, installing the shelf and organizing the bathroom. I also picked up and installed the new shelves for the kitchen cupboard. Fully organizing the kitchen will come later once we’ve converted the coat closet into a pantry. All these small projects are adding up and our home feels quite different already.
The Chinese food truck was in town today! My wife was in town for her workout and saw it, so she brought me home a plate for lunch. This guy’s stuff is 100x better than Panda or any other so-called Chinese food in the area. I guess Chinese food from a Chinese guy will taste better than from a white person chain restaurant.
Today’s project was planned to be all the pickling, but I’m not sure I want to start that now. If I do, I will need to scramble to finish tomorrow as we are planning on leaving in the afternoon. I probably should just wait and start that on Monday so I have the week ahead if necessary.
This weekend is going to be busy, but should be a lot of fun. I’m really excited to see the Metal + Mozart performance and get to attend a Ren Faire as well. It is still going to involve quite a bit of driving, but that is pretty much on par for anything in Montana. I do still need to do laundry and pack, but that won’t take too long.
And thinking about it, the pickling project is definitely on hold until Monday. I don’t have pickling salt on hand and would need to drive to town to pick some up if I start it today.
Anyhow, there’s laundry and packing to address, so…
