First off, happy Founders’ Day to those who celebrate.

For those that don’t, just ignore all that.
I’m not really in the mood to write today – yesterday I was mostly consumed with indignant rage over political bullshit and didn’t really devote any time to creativity. Gardening helped soothe the beast, but really, most of the day was spent internally lamenting the decline of our nation.
Fortunately for us, the people, in general, are not as corrupt as our so called “leaders.” I am grateful to live near a small town with an active community of people who genuinely care about the well-being of their neighbors. When heavy rains and flooding took out a road, the community rallied and ferried in food and supplies to those cut off as the road was rebuilt, not by the local government, but by the people themselves.
So there is still hope for society and our nation, you just need to go offline and exist in meat-space…
