I again have very little writing time today because the electrician should be here shortly. Most of this week has been puttering around, reorganizing things, and getting ready for the summer season. Currently, I have to shuffle about twenty plant trays in and out in the morning and evening, but hopefully soon they will be able to just live outside until the giveaway. I did learn my lesson last year, and won’t just assume that a nice warm day will also provide a warm night. I lost too many seedlings last year under that assumption…
It seems minor, but I’m pretty excited to get all these small projects knocked out. With the old deck, the power wasn’t as much of an issue, but the way things are now, it will be nice to have another outlet outside the screened off area for me to plug in my smoker and for the hydroponic tower.
Additionally, it will be another quality-of-life upgrade having the extra faucets installed – the past few years, I’ve had to walk around the house to turn the water on or off, and we’d need to manually bypass the water softener so I don’t kill all the plants from the salts used in the process. With the bypassed faucet, I’ll also be able to set up an automatic watering system for the garden as well.
Looks like the electrician is a bit early, so…
