I’m tired of waiting…

Unfortunately, I spent most of this morning on the phone – I’ve had more phone calls in the past couple hours than I have in over the last month. There’s a reason I don’t give my number out to people. One call was fine, a close friend who had questions about medications and transitioning off of ADD drugs. That was a nice call, and it was good to catch up. The others were all about Libertarian Party bullshit. (One of the LP bullshit calls was nice though…)

Thankfully I won’t have to deal with any of that anymore soon. I had originally planned to resign my position after holding our region meeting and selecting delegates for next month’s state convention, but now I won’t even have to do that – someone else will have to, and if they don’t, they will have finally directly affected me by their actions, and there are legal implications with that. I don’t think they will skip holding the meeting.

All this because they are trying to rush a vote to pay for a potential candidate’s filing fees. I mean, if you can’t afford $1740 to run for office, maybe you should focus on your own finances before considering running for office? Will there then be an agreement that any and all fundraising proceeds will go to the party? Kinda like how the party sold everyone out to RFK Jr. and his fundraising committee (and ultimately the Republicans)? It also sets terrible precedent to have the party foot the bill for candidate’s filing fees – where’s the line?

Really though, the arguments in favor are weak, but finding candidates has been difficult, especially when they push away the people who are willing to run and self-fund because they don’t pass the caucus purity/loyalty tests. Sure they need candidates to preserve ballot access, but maybe, just maybe, they should adjust their positions and focus on local and state races, and stop worrying about national politics as a state party. Really, they just need to get their shit together.

I’m glad this bullshit is about over, my stress level today after dealing with the crap is higher than it has been in quite some time, and I have more important things to do than trying to work with individuals like that (especially the probably gay, bald one, who seems to have a hard-on for me).

Anyhow, I have things to catch-up on since my morning was occupied with Libertarian party nonsense…
