Today’s guest introduction by Maynard, who really wanted attention and to be on my lap when I sat down to begin.

I got the wasp bait finished and outside – and wasps were already swarming around so hopefully they will jump on it pretty quickly. In retrospect, I really should have prepped this batch a couple weeks ago, but I’ll be ready at the beginning of the season next year.

It looks like I will be going to LA for the Iron Maiden show – my buddy and I had talked about seeing them together on their 50th anniversary tour for some time and LA seems to be the best location for both of us to attend. And it’ll be nice to be able to also catch Anthrax, who is only going to be at a few of the shows, LA being one of them. The last time I got to see Anthrax was also when they were opening for Iron Maiden, but that was over 30 years ago now.

I got to sing on stage at that show – the local radio station had a contest (I have been really lucky with winning shit from that station) to be “backup singers” for Iron Maiden, and I was one of the lucky few. It wasn’t as awesome as I had hoped – no meet and greet, nor autograph session – but it was still an experience I treasure. Basically, we were all rushed out on stage to sing the “woah oh oh” part of Heaven Can Wait then were rushed off stage and sent back to the pit.

Anyhow, enough nostalgia – though I am quite looking forward to the show, even though I have a year to wait.

Bride left speechless as groom plays 8-year-old video proving she was always ‘the one’ for him – Sharing this one because I did something similar… after I realized our first date was actually a date, and I realized that this person was MY person, I wrote my now wife a note, sealed it in an envelope with instructions to not open it until instructed, then placed it in a nice keepsake box that I started filling with mementos and things from our dates and trips. I didn’t surprise her at the wedding though…
