I had initially intended to avoid social media over the weekend, but I found myself in a conversation with a friend and that turned into my usual doom-scrolling. I’ll have to work on that next weekend and see if I can avoid the draw of those tiny dopamine hits provided my interactions on the platform. It didn’t help much that the weather was drizzly and grey, and I couldn’t really work on the things outside I had initially wanted to.
I was on for a bit again this morning – mainly to see if there were updates on the HPA and SHORT Act. Of course there were, and it seems the House met over the weekend and passed the so-called “big beautiful bill” that left out the promised reforms. Hopefully the Senate will have the balls to kick it back until they stop screwing us over.
I used to have a belief in the system – that a single good person could change everything – but those days, like the ones of believing in dragons and unicorns, have passed. I ran for Congress a few years ago, and while I had no delusions that I would win, the fantasy of it was enticing. I could go to DC and help right the ship! I’d be the proverbial bull in the China shop and get things done! The reality, however, is that A) I couldn’t fix the system, because it isn’t broken, it is working as intended; and B) I’d have probably been “suicided” because my first order of business would be to leak the complete unredacted Epstein list.
And speaking of that list, we’re never going to see it – too many of the elite are on that list, and the politicians, if they aren’t on the list themselves, are beholden to people that are. Unless someone with nothing to lose gets their hands on it and leaks it, we won’t see a thing, and even then the media spin machine would be working overtime to claim it is a fake or was tampered with for political gain. And the sycophants will eat that up because of course THEIR politician would NEVER do anything like that.
So what is one to do when they discover that the system isn’t actually broken, but working to oppress as intended? Check out of the system as much as you can. Barter with neighbors. Buy/sell/trade at swap meets and farmer’s markets. Work with people that will trade or accept payment with precious metals. Become as self sufficient as you can and participate as little as possible in the system. Get a 3D printer – you know, for reasons. Do everything you can to eliminate the influence the state has, not only just over you, but everybody.
I’m not about to suggest you try the sovereign citizen route – that doesn’t seem to work anyway – but to make the system as irrelevant as possible. I’m also not suggesting that you give up voting completely; though voters are only choosing who they want to oppress you, be sure to pay attention to your local races – that is where change can be made. Your local school board will help set the curriculum and what your kids will be taught. Your local sheriff will be the one tasked with infringing on your rights should the day come the state decides to try to confiscate your firearms. Your city council and county commission sets local policy and taxes. These people are your neighbors and aren’t sitting on a pedestal in Washington DC. If you want to get involved in fixing the system, this is where you need to actually start – not with a longshot bid for a federal seat.
Be the change you want to see.
