Little time today – running to the city and have to get there early enough for the tailor to have time to take measurements to hem my wife’s new dress and complete it today to save us another separate trip.
The kitten is starting to learn that she gets nowhere waking me and begging for food when it’s still dark out and has begun waiting until at least the sun is up. That works for now, and hopefully we can break her of the habit completely before the seasons change and dawn arrives at 5AM.
I also developed a crazy blood blister on my finger over the weekend. I hadn’t practiced bass in over a month and my callouses were starting to wear away, but I went hard for several multi-hour sessions over the weekend and developed a double-blister on my right middle finger, one of which has blood in it. I’ve been on a bit of a Rush kick and had been working on that initial fast riff from Marathon (last Friday’s song) and to reach the speeds necessary, I used part of the side of my finger that I hadn’t (or rarely) used. So that formed a blister, and then on top of that one formed on my usual finger pad. I’ll need to take a couple days off to let it recover a bit, but don’t plan to goo that long between practice sessions again.
Anyhow, need to put on pants and hit the road…
