We had a pretty relaxing day yesterday, and it looks like we’re going to do so again today. I’ve been dealing with a lot of pain lately – likely due to all the activity and not really having a chance to take a break the past two weeks – so this is a welcome change. It is also nice to just be able to relax and spend time with my wife without a looming deadline or something that needs planning.
Speaking of planning – I just remembered that a new contractor, an Amish one this time, will be coming by tomorrow morning to take care of some of the outside projects we need completed. I need to be sure to be up early tomorrow aaaaaaand…. I just set my alarm so I don’t forget. I hope the other contractor (who’ll be addressing the inside projects) has some time soon to get started because I’d like to have the plant shelving done before I have to start seedlings for the season.
Lucretia is becoming a bit of a terror. She has that endless kitten energy and seems to enjoy harassing her feline siblings. She likes to bully her way into spots and doesn’t like to let the others have their space. She’s aggressively taken over the “best” window seat and attacks the others if they dare take the spot. She also seems to enjoy digging in my plants.
I know she is happy being inside with regular feeding, all the cat toys, and a cozy place to sleep, but she seems to really want to go back outside. She still has her hunter instincts and wants to chase the bunnies that wander about outside. I’m not sure she’s strong enough to be able to take one, but I am certain she would do her best. She is still growing and I’m pretty sure she will end up being a fairly large cat. Roscoe is still able to subdue her when necessary, but I don’t think that will be the case in a few months.
Anyhow, my wife is sitting next to me waiting for me to wrap this up so…
