I’m so glad my wife is back home. It’s been a few days and we are both still getting back in the groove of our routines. We’ve both been exhausted – both physically and mentally – but we finally feel like we are getting rested. We had a nice lazy weekend – our first time together without a looming trip in two weeks. It was nice to relax and just chill out together.
The kitten, Lucretia, has a new name – “little bitch.” We were lounging in bed Saturday night and she jumped up trying to get up there with us, but shes still so small that she can’t jump high enough to fully make it. She partially landed on me, dug her claws in to keep from falling… and hooked my nipple. It wasn’t for more than a second or so, but felt like an eternity as she hung from my nipple while scrabbling her hind legs trying to make it up, before her weight overcame the skin and tore through my nipple. The adrenaline had me shaking like seeing the blood did to my wife. Thankfully she is still small and her little paws have needle sharp claws so it was a pretty clean slice, but it is still quite uncomfortable. I did get her back on Sunday night when I had to pin her down to clean her nose.
My wife just returned (we are taking another chill day) so…
