Yesterday was a great day – my wife and I left the boy with a friend and went to the city for our anniversary dinner. We had decided on pizza, but when we arrived, the place we selected seemed more oriented to take-out or single slices, so we pivoted to a bar and grill establishment nearby.
That turned out to be a most excellent decision.
This place had an great cozy vibe and amazing food. Something pointed out on the menu was where they locally sourced their meat and heirloom vegetables, which we both found to be a nice touch. I ended up ordering a mold and fungus burger (bleu cheese and mushroom) while my wife ordered one of their pizzas – so she didn’t completely miss out on our pizza plan. This place is now in our rotation for future meals.
Since we were right there, we did also make a stop at the pawn shop to pick up more DVDs of programs acceptable for the boy to watch. Of course we had to do our own scans as well and I noticed a Hoefner clone bass for $75, but I didn’t pull the trigger then – maybe if it is still there when we stop by next time.
Anyhow, I have to run to town today to pick up a few things so…
