First Ozzy, now Hulk Hogan?
Too much last minute stuff to do today before the trip, so this will be brief today. Let’s run down my checklist:
- Finish laundry and pack clothes
- Charge batteries and stash in backpack
- Deep water plants
- Pair headphones to new phone
- Download music for flight
- Snack shopping
- Check in for flight and car rental
- Notify bank of travel
- ***MAKE SURE COSTUME IS PACKED***
- Grab parking placard from Jeep
Ok, time to get moving. I may post tomorrow or I may not – it depends on how much rushing I’ll have to do.
Interesting Tidbits
Song of the Day: Real American by Rick Derringer (Hulk Hogan’s entrance music)
Hulk Hogan Dead at 71 – “During a news conference Thursday afternoon, Clearwater Police Maj. Nate Burnside said Hulk died at 11:17 AM … before adding, there are ‘no signs of foul play or suspicious activity.'”
White House tightens its grip on Jeffrey Epstein messaging – “White House aides have made it clear that no one in the administration is allowed to talk about Epstein without high-level vetting as Trump attempts to change the subject.”
Yes, your Android phone let Gemini slip in. Here’s how to take back control! – “Picture this: you wake up to find Google’s AI assistant has quietly gained access to your WhatsApp messages, phone calls, and SMS — whether you asked for it or not. Sound dystopian? Welcome to July 2025, when Google rolled out Gemini access to core Android apps across the board.”
Look out ChatGPT – the creator of Proton Mail has just launched a new AI chatbot that’s super-secure and private – “Lumo is an open-source AI assistant that’s designed with an emphasis on to privacy. …. Proton guarantees that none of the information you give to Lumo will be used to train LLMs and can’t be shared with third parties.” I may actually play around with this one…
Your Gmail inbox could soon be filled with adverts as Google tests new shoppable ad formats – “Marketers who focus on performance and conversions will likely see this as a new way to capture user interest in an already attention-saturated environment, but for those of us who don’t want to be sold to in our inbox, it might feel like one more ad too many.”
