My pain levels have nearly normalized back to the usual, but are still a bit elevated. I haven’t wanted to medicate because the pills make me too loopy and I really can’t get anything done. The pain management doctors have thrown opiates and other “solutions” at me, but all of them screw with my head too much. I don’t want to exist as a zombie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ve been taking care of my back this past week and being cautious, but the landscaping gal is coming tomorrow to help with moving the wood and preparing for a load of soil to build up the area. We’re going to be shaping the mound with the wood using the h\u00fcgelkultur<\/a><\/em> technique, and I’m hoping to get this project finished in time to get some iris bulbs in the ground for bloom next season. I’ll need to be cautious tomorrow and keep myself in check to not overdo anything and risk undoing the care I took this past week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I didn’t get the tsukemono<\/em> pickles done yesterday – I was out of garlic and didn’t want to run to town. I did get the curry made and had the fukujinzuke<\/em> daikon pickles with it, and they were delicious.
