Short one today, I almost skipped but I didn’t want to make a habit out of skipping writing if I’m busy. I wouldn’t exactly say I slept in late, though I did stay in bed until about noon, but I didn’t get to bed until 7AM. I had expected to be woken up at the latest around 9:30 when my wife went to the gym, but she was up later than usual as well and ended up skipping today. I ended up needing to take a break yesterday for my back and zonked out for several hours so I got a late start on getting the desk together, and frankly, even then, my wife did most of it until she went to bed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I needed it finished so I could have my PC setup by tonight and once the desk was assembled (mostly, I still need to put a couple drawers together), I just jumped right in to setting up my PC and cable management. That didn’t go very well, and I ended up needing to order a bunch of longer cables so I can route things properly, for both my PC and sound gear. I also realized I need a new mic boom, as the cheap one I bought years ago is on it’s last legs and not holding position well any longer. I’m likely going to need to use my mic stand for a bit until I research and replace it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I’m completely exhausted (again) but at least I have my desk assembled and PC functioning. I still have a lot to do to finish reorganizing my office, but I’m getting there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
