Well, we got our first snow last night, and it is still lightly dusting today. There was a small layer on the ground when I first got up, but that melted and it’s not cold enough for it to stick any longer. Still, the turn in weather means it is time for certain cold-weather dishes, and I have a pot of Japanese curry simmering and slow cooking today – it’s scent permeating the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other than that, not a lot has been going on – we spent the weekend mostly lounging about and relaxing. It was nice just chilling out on the couch with my wife playing games on our laptops (her: Stardew Valley, me: Worshippers of Cthulhu) and watching some mind-numbing television. I did have to run out in the middle of the night (dragging my wife kicking and screaming to help me) to wrap my last tomato plants, though I don’t think we’re going to get enough sun or warmth for them to ripen and probably should just pull them and hope they ripen in a paper bag with a banana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I do have a few last cucumbers I left to rot on the vine for the seeds to finish maturing that I need to collect, but other than that and some final cleanup, I’m done with the outside projects for the season. Actually, I just remembered I still need to make the cover for the egress window but it’s a bit chilly for me to work on that today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
